I e-mailed prior to the start of the season with a list of team ratings and promised to follow throughout the season to document how well each GM is handling his roster. This is a very unscientific process. I've taken the overall rating of top 4 centers, top 4 left wings, top 4 right wings, top 6 defensemen and top goaltender in each organization and averaged out their overall rating. Hopefully this is useful in some way such as helping GM's in their voting for GM of the year, otherwise I still think it will be fun for everyone to see and keep track of during the season.
The initial pre-season rankings:
1. 78.79 - Demons 2. 77.95 - Fighting Irish 3. 76.11 - Roustabouts 4. 76.05 - Schooners 5. 75.89 - Cougars 6. 75.74 - Cats
7. 75.47 - Polar Bears 8. 75.21 - Bulls 9. 74.95 - Stallions 10. 74.74 - Lunatics 11. 74.63 - Corinthians 12. 74.34 - Sparrows
13. 73.58 - Express 14. 73.53 - Rink Rats 15. 73.11 - Snowdogs 16. 72.74 - Thunderbolts 17. 72.11 - Dugouts 18. 71.69 - Citadels
19. 71.68 - Voodoo 20. 71.37 - Stampede 21. 71.05 - Grizzlies 22. 70.11 - Icedogs 23. 70.05 - Warriors 24. 66.89 - Patriots

And in defense of myself, i've made the most improvements to my roster this season... so getting the least out of that roster is sort of a byproduct of that. If we keep playing well in the second half, my team won't be on that list by the end of the season.

I'm a bit miffed that we lost to the Bulls this past week. Shocked that I have not been able to squeak out a win or more. Debating if I'm doing something wrong. I realize I have only been managing for 15 games or so....

So in a shameless plug for myself as Executive of the Year (again), I was able to manage my team to the biggest overall improvement from the worst roster of the three GM's who tied for +8. Pretty damn impressed with what I was able to do with season.
A big round of applause to all of the managers who put so much hard work into their teams this season, there were so many great story lines in the regular season and so many managers who did wonderful things with their team. This had to be one of the best seasons overall for the league, I know I feel like it was the best in my five seasons here and I thank everyone who was active with their team all season for making that happen.
